Pre-Season

Hello and welcome back,

Over the past month I have been busy working on a number of projects covering a broad spectrum of genres; dance, sport and events. It is such a pleasure being able to work in different photographic environments, it keeps me on my toes and keeps things fresh.

First off I joined the lovely team at Siobhan Davies Studios as they worked with Theatrum Mundi and London Festival of Architecture to deliver a day of panel discussions, physical workshops and a performance by the awesome Candoco Dance Company. My job was to photograph and capture the events throughout the day which was a pleasure and whilst behind the camera I was provoked by the discussions, brought joy from the workshops and inspired by the performance. It was a good day!

Throughout the Summer I have been working with a number of football teams covering their pre-season in addition to the start of their domestic seasons. These teams have included; Leeds United, Middlesbrough, AFC Wimbledon & Forest Green Rovers. It is a great to work directly with these football clubs and their media teams. Seeing your images up on the website and official social media pages within minutes of them being sent through is pretty cool!

In between football fixtures I joined Hema Palani in the studio as she worked with Hetain Patel on a new work being produced by Fuel Theatre. Hema and Hetain had spent a week in the studio playing with ideas using text and movement which resulted in a sharing for invited guests. Having worked with Hema in the past, I was looking forward to collaborating with her again.

Lastly, I had a blast from the past in returning to Garsington Opera, but this time as a photographer as opposed to a dancer! I was there to capture images of guests enjoying the Garsington ExperienceGarsington Opera is based in the grounds of the beautiful Wormsley Estate just outside of London. Guests are given plenty of time before and during an extended interval to enjoy the grounds and picnic in these scenic surroundings.
